Materials + Sustainability

We do everything we can to source from responsible, sustainable and local suppliers to keep our impact on the environment as low as possible. Our candles are crafted from a bespoke combination of soy, coconut and rapeseed waxes and pure essentials oils making our candles vegan friendly and completely free from GMO, paraffin, parabens, phthalates, palm, beeswax and additives.

Plant Wax

Our supplier’s soy wax is made from responsibly sourced GMO free soybean oil from Europe. The Swedish supplier known for its strong commitment to sustainability, ensures that this wax is produced with the utmost respect for the environment and the people involved. Our GMO free rapeseed wax is also responsibly sourced from Europe.

Our GMO free coconut wax comes from small holder farmers in South East Asia. A third of these farmers and their families make their living from coconut production. There is no forest removal in order to plant new coconut trees and all farming contacts are closely monitored in that regard as well as training more farmers on sustainable coconut agricultural practices.

Essential Oils

Our pure essential oils are from a UK family-owned business, who have been placing wellness and ethical values at the forefront of their business, from producing all vegan-friendly products to ensuring excellent quality.

We avoid using essential oils made from vulnerable or endangered species, for example, Agar wood (Oud) Aquilaria malaccensis , Spikenard Nardostachys jatamansi, Sandalwood Santalum album, Palo Santo Bursera graveolens, Atlas Cedarwood Cedrus atlantica and Rosewood Dalbergia sissoo.

Glass + Ceramics

Our amber glass and aluminium lids are made in the UK by a UK family run business. Our candle jars are actual amber glass, not sprayed clear glass, making them 100% recyclable, along with our aluminium lids. Our ceramic vessels are all handmade in the UK using clay from the UK.

Packaging

All our packaging is plastic free and from UK family businesses that are eco and vegan friendly. Our candle wraps and candles boxes are made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste. We print our own candle wraps and care labels using vegan inks from Epson.
