Why didn’t it come up before? (Part 2)

Why didn’t it come up before? (Part 2)

Let’s continue from where we left off. I previously mentioned how physical symptoms can be our body’s final cry for help because we have so many layers and the body is the final, most dense layer. Let us have a look at some of our other layers and their possible impact.

Anyone that experiences an intensely emotional or traumatic experience, for example grief, abuse, neglect, bullying, the list is exhaustive, it is important to note the impact of a situation is specific to the individual and how they respond, circumstance is not comparative.

At times it can sometimes feel like we live in a society where we feel we have a limited time slot to deal with those intense emotions, then we are expected to get back to ‘normal’ life.

Or there are certain circumstances where you are unable to allow yourself the space to process it, or it can be just so intense, it just isn’t possible to process those emotions all at once. So we stuff down these intense feelings, hoping they will go away or that we’ll deal with them later when the time is right. Let’s be honest here, neither really happen.

We have the added bonus of everything our non/ sub-conscious has absorbed. From conception to the here and now, plus the everyday thoughts that we have about ourselves.

Negative thoughts actually affect our brain by triggering real stress physical symptoms as if we are in real danger. Stress from negative thinking creates changes in the brain that may affect our likelihood of mental disorders. It is believed that continuous negative thoughts could lead to chronic stress, affecting the body physically as well as the negative effects on our overall health and well-being.

Other factors also to consider are the energy systems; meridians, chakras and the auric field layers. The flow of energy through your meridians (acupuncture points that connect and unite different parts of the body) regulate the metabolism and supports cellular health. Their flow is as important as the flow of blood; your life and health rely on both. When emotions are not expressed, they get stuck. Blocked energy flow can manifest as a physical ailment or dis- ease.

Chakras or energy centres that can become blocked, stuck open or closed. These energy centres are where major nerve points meet and where life force, or “prana,” flows harmoniously. Optimal functioning chakras are what keeps us psychologically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually balanced.

Finally, the auric field’s several layers around your body are active at all times and can be out of balance too. Each layer also plays a role in our health and well-being.

Hopefully you now have a better understanding as to why it’s not enough to just treat the physical body when we feel unwell, there are so many layers to be taken in to consideration. Thankfully your body and non- conscious already knows what is needed to heal, and in what order, for you to be at your healthiest and happiest.

Yes, kinesiology is mind blowing how it allows us to communicate to those parts of our selves, but I encourage you to start listening to the messages from your body, your intuition and begin challenging those negative thoughts.
