NEW BEGINNINGS
Melinda AnnearSo here we are, in February already! Today is the New Moon in Aquarius, which apparently quite rare. It is also the first day of Imbolc celebration, a Celtic/ Gaelic celebration of new beginnings and the stirrings of Spring. (See previous post).
February 1st marks the start of the Lunar New Year. Spring celebrations throughout much of Asia run from the first new Moon of the lunar calendar until the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the new lunar year. Happy Year of the Tiger!
So it’s kind of new beginnings everywhere, no matter what angle you come from. This is a time to visualise new possibilities—even if they don't seem possible quite yet. It’s a time to think about the seeds you want to sow this spring (metaphorical or literal) and make plans that you’d like to grow and flourish as the year goes on.
It is a time to cut our past loose, or at least some of the things that we’re still hung up on.
This is also great opportunity to review where you have been hiding parts of yourself.
To look at ways you can take yourself out of your comfort zone to give yourself the freedom to be unapologetically you. Embrace change and head towards the future you want for yourself.
Here’s some suggestions, if you’re not already doing so, to make the most of the current energies;
✨ Get in touch with the authentic side of you.
✨ Lean into your individuality.
✨ Connect with others who are on the same frequency.
✨ Radical self-acceptance is the new superpower, embrace who you are.
This is the perfect time to review where you are emotionally and physically to prepare for what you would like to bring in to your life this year.
